Inspire colleagues lead workshops at Heart of England Music Conference

Colleagues from two of our Heart of England Music Hub Lead Schools, Blue Coat CofE School and Clifford Bridge Academy, were proud to lead workshops at last month’s Heart of England Music Conference, held at the University of Warwick.

The annual conference brings together music educators from across Coventry and Warwickshire to share practice, explore new ideas and strengthen music provision across the region. This year’s theme focused on breaking barriers in music education, with an emphasis on access, inclusion and quality.

Representing Inspire Education Trust, Madaleine Turner, Headteacher at Clifford Bridge Academy, and Scott Wilson from Clifford Bridge Academy led one of the featured workshops. Alongside them, Josh Boxall, Head of Music at Blue Coat CofE School, and Karen Hartlebury also delivered engaging and practical sessions for delegates.

The workshops were recognised in the official conference programme as highlights of the day, praised for their energy, inclusivity and impact. Each session focused on removing barriers to participation and empowering teachers with practical approaches that can be implemented immediately in their own schools.

As Music Hub Lead Schools, Blue Coat CofE School and Clifford Bridge Academy play a key role in shaping music education across the region. Their contribution to the conference reflects the strength of collaboration within the Trust and our shared commitment to ensuring that every child has access to high quality, inclusive music provision.

We are incredibly proud to see our colleagues not only championing music within their own school communities, but influencing and supporting practice across Coventry and Warwickshire.
