Inclusion
Every learner. Every voice. Every opportunity.
At Inspire Education Trust, we believe that every child deserves to feel seen, heard, valued and supported to flourish. Inclusion is not an initiative or a single department. It is at the heart of everything we do, shaping our leadership, teaching, curriculum and the daily experiences of every pupil across our schools.
Our Inclusion Strategy 2026 to 2028 sets out how we will continue to build schools where every learner can thrive, regardless of background, need or circumstance. It reflects our commitment to creating environments where barriers to learning are identified early, high quality teaching meets the needs of all learners and every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.
Our Inclusion Strategy focuses specifically on educational inclusion. It is about ensuring that every child, particularly those with additional needs or facing barriers to learning, receives the right support at the right time through outstanding teaching, strong leadership and evidence informed practice.
Our vision
Our vision is simple:
Every learner. Every voice. Every opportunity.
We believe inclusion is everyone's responsibility. Quality first teaching, strong relationships, high expectations and responsive support form the foundation of our approach. We are committed to ensuring that good teaching for pupils with SEND is good teaching for all pupils, with specialist support complementing rather than replacing excellent classroom practice.
Our five principles of inclusion
Our work is guided by five principles that shape decision making across every school in our Trust:
- Responsive by providing the right support at the right time.
- Recognition by ensuring every child can participate and experience success.
- Clarity by making learning accessible through thoughtful teaching.
- Belonging by creating schools where every child feels part of the community.
- Proficiency by ensuring specialist expertise is available whenever it is needed.
Delivering our strategy
Over the next two years we will strengthen inclusion across the Trust through ten strategic priorities, including:
- Embedding adaptive teaching in every classroom.
- Developing highly skilled SEND leadership across all schools.
- Using evidence informed interventions that improve outcomes.
- Investing in high quality professional development for support staff.
- Expanding access to specialist expertise.
- Improving systems that help schools identify need and monitor impact.
- Developing high quality specialist provision and resource bases.
- Strengthening leadership, governance and accountability for inclusion.
- Working closely with families to provide clear guidance and support.
- Building strong foundations in literacy, language and mathematics so every learner can access an ambitious curriculum.
